About Diagnostic Imaging, Inc.

Diagnostic Imaging Inc. (DII) was founded in 1975 and has grown to be the largest private practice radiology group in the city of Philadelphia. DII's first affiliate was the Frankford Healthcare System, a founding partner of the Jefferson Healthcare Network. The Frankford Hospital includes the Torresdale Campus, an acute Level II Trauma Center serving the greater Northeast Philadelphia region, the Bucks Campus, serving the Lower Bucks County area, and the Frankford Campus, serving the Frankford and Mayfair sections of Philadelphia.

Since 2002, DII has experienced unprecedented growth by acquiring exclusive contracts to provide radiology services for Northeastern Hospital in Philadelphia, a member of the Temple University Health System,   Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County, a member of the Lourdes Health System,  Central Montgomery Medical Center of Universal Health Services, Inc., and Holy Redeemer Hospital of the Holy Redeemer Health System.  This expansion has allowed DII to extend its service area  from Philadelphia to the northern and western suburbs of Lower Bucks and Montgomery Counties, and across the Delaware River into New Jersey, and with that extension, to develop new and important relationships with referring physicians from those areas.

At the leading edge of technological advances

DII enjoys a long tradition of placing itself at the leading edge of technological advances.  For example, it was the first group in the area to utilize a universal PAC System (Picture Archive Communication System), the first to acquire a multi-slice CT detector, and most recently, the first to provide non-invasive Coronary CT Angiography. Our commitment to bring the latest in technological advances to our patient population continues.

DII is comprised of fifty Board-Certified Radiologists, most of whom have subspecialty training encompassing all areas of radiology.  Radiologists with thirty or more years experience as well as newly trained graduates from some of the nation's most prestigious fellowships and residencies bring the best of diagnostic and therapeutic radiology services to the Philadelphia region.

Accuracy and efficiency

An integral part of the DII practice is its medical billing, information technology, and practice management core.  Over thirty talented and innovative individuals meet the growing administrative, computer, and clerical demands of the Practice.  Most recently, DII developed its own patented software, a program that has optimized the accuracy and efficiency of the CPT and ICD-9 coding process.
